About Me

 

Being a certified Suicide Prevention First Aid trainer from the National Centre of Suicide Prevention, UK, Certified Coach from the International Coaching Federation and a Mental Health First Aider Sakina provides mental wellness interventions, workshops and talks in corporates and community settings. She graduated with a BA in Broadcasting and Journalism and further pursued her MBA from Nottingham Trent University and has submitted her research proposal based on brain health resiliency to peruse her PhD in mental health.

With the mission of reducing the rate of suicide on the African continent, Sakina is keen to get into research that will lead to an inclusion of mental wellness in evolving policies around suicide on the continent. After publishing her second title ‘My Little Yellow Book’ she learnt the skill of mandala art and started teaching it as a form of therapy together with what she phrases as ‘energized manifestation art.’ Her third publication ‘Elements of us’ is an adult coloring book that explores methods of brining a psychosomatic balance in one’s life by embracing the elements on earth and art.
